F i s h e s o f t h e o c e a n!

This cool looking dude here is a cuttlefish. There are so many different types of cuttlefish that come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. They're definitely never boring with their looks though. Cuttlefish eat small molluscs, crabs, shrimp, fish, octopuses, worms, and other cuttlefish. Their predators include dolphins, sharks, fish, seals and other cuttlefish. Their life expectancy is about one to two years.

Ah! Shark!

This scary looking guy to right would be a Great White Shark. The largest shark in the world! It can get up to 5,000 pounds and 20 feet long. Now that's a big fish! They can live to be 20 years old. Most live in waters off central California. So if you go surfing there, better watch out for these guys! They don't want to hurt you, but it happens.

This little guy is a seahorse. He has a long snout, which he uses to suck up food. His eyes can move independently of each other, just like a chameleon! And did you know that with seahorses, the daddy carries the babies instead of the mama? crazy, right? You can find these guys in warmer waters and usually pretty shallow water near the coastline. They can change their color to match their surrounding so they can be many different colors. They range in size from less than a centimeter to about 30 centimeters. Cute little guys!

This would be a stingray. The larger white and black one, that is. It almost looks like it's smiling and it might look nice, but if you aren't careful, they can kill you. They can get up to 6 and a half feet long and weight up to 290 pounds! They can live anywhere from 15 to 20 years. These guys are carnivores meaning they eat meat. They also eat rocks to crush their food so it's easier to digest!

Obviously there are billions of other species of fish in the ocean. I mean billions! So if these ones have interested you at all, then I'd get out and start looking up some more. Fish are some of the most interesting animals I've ever studied. It's definitely worth you time trust me.
