Things To Do In The Big Blue!
Some people enjoy take a nice long, deep dive into the ocean. Scuba diving is very popular in places like Hawaii, Australia, and Florida. Of course, you have to get a licence and take courses to go scuba diving, but it's definitely worth it. You get to see so many different, wild, and beautiful things down there. It's probably one of the best ways to spend your time when being that close to an ocean. I highly recommend trying scuba diving at least once in your lifetime.
I know, I know, it's pricey. But I guarantee it's all worth it.
It's a whole different world down there. I think everyone deserves to see at least some of it. Who know? Maybe you'll even make a miraculous discovery while you're down there. Now wouldn't that be cool? |

Another little something the ocean offers is whale watching! All it takes is a boat. Bring your cameras because stuff like in the picture on the right really does occur. It almost seems like the animals try to show off for us.
Sometimes, you might even see dolphins instead of whales. They're both species that stay relatively close to the surface. |

Shoot, you might even get lucky enough to pet one like these people to the left, who are touching a humpback whale. How exciting would that be? I'd be careful about what I put my hand out to, though! They may look nice but things aren't always what they seem. So be cautious! |
Then of course you have surfing! A very common sport near any body of water with waves. People have made their own variations of surfing, such as: Boogey Boarding, Skin Boarding, Wake Boarding, and many more. Surfing's not the easiest but once you get the hang of it you'll never want to quit. It's amazing how the ocean can create these huge waves for surfers to shred on. Totally awesome dude! |

Be aware of the danger zones though! I wouldn't want to run into to one of those. Hope the guy to the left got away. There's been many cases of surfers being attacked by sharks in certain areas. It's not that they want to hurt us, they just mistake us for food sometimes. So watch out! |
